Retreats at Reflective Harmony
Come back to yourself. We saved you a seat.
Four series. One space. And not a single ordinary weekend among them.
What Happens Here
A retreat at Reflective Harmony is not a weekend away from your life. It's a weekend back into it.
We built these retreats for the people who have been holding everything together for everyone else and quietly wondering when it's their turn. For the ones who feel something tapping on their shoulder, but haven't had a quiet enough room to hear what's being said. For the ones who are ready to stop white-knuckling their way through and start living from the heart space instead -- because the heart space has always been the more reliable compass anyway.
Here's what we're not doing -- we're not filling a weekend with activities and calling it transformation. We don't do ordinary here, and we're not interested in the kind of event you attend, enjoy, and forget by Wednesday. Every retreat we host is built with precision and intention, because when you step out of your routine, walk into a space that's holding real energy, and give yourself permission to stop performing for a couple of days -- something cracks open. That's just what happens when a person finally gets quiet enough to hear themselves…every.single.time.
Every retreat we host is what we call an energetic container; which is basically a fancy way of saying we hold the whole thing on purpose. The room is prepared before you arrive. The flow of the weekend is built with intention, not filler. The people guiding you are Collaborators we know, trust, and love -- not names we found on a list somewhere. And the space itself, our little home at 501 New Karner Road, has been curated to hold exactly this kind of work.
When you Retreat with us, you begin to hear yourself more clearly. You begin to feel your own energy more powerfully. You begin to believe in your own magic again. And somewhere in the middle of it you'll laugh -- so much laughter, more than you expected, because we have never once managed to keep a straight face for an entire weekend and we're not going to start now.
You'll create. You'll rest. You'll be fed, held, gently nudged, and never once asked to perform your healing for anyone. Some of what shifts will be obvious by Sunday afternoon. Some of it will sneak up on you three weeks later in your kitchen, and you'll stand there holding a coffee cup thinking, oh.. there it is.
You will not leave here as the person who walked in.
That's the work. And that's why we do this…we can’t wait for you to join us!

Upcoming Retreats
There is a version of you who used to create just because it felt good. Before the deadlines. Before the audience. Before you talked yourself out of picking up the paintbrush, the pen, the clay, because there was always something more important to do.
This retreat is an invitation back to her.
Reflective Harmony is opening our doors for the very first time to a public, immersive retreat -- three days held inside our energetic ecosystem here in Albany, built for creatives, artists, and anyone whose spirit has been quietly asking for permission to slow down and make something beautiful again.
Let's be clear about what this isn't. This isn't a craft weekend. It isn't a class where someone shows you how to paint a nice tree and you go home with a nice tree. We don't do ordinary here. This is three days built with precision and intention, because when you step away from your routine, put materials in your hands, and give yourself permission to stop being useful for a little while -- something cracks open. Art gets past your defenses in a way conversation never quite manages. That's not a mystical claim. That's why someone can sit down to paint something perfectly pleasant and end up crying about their mother.
Christina King, LCAT, our resident art therapist, has spent her career holding space for people to move through grief, joy, transition, and everything in between using the language of art rather than the language of words alone. Under her guidance you will not be handed a lesson plan. You will be handed permission -- to create honestly, to feel what rises, and to let your hands lead you somewhere your mind alone couldn't find the door to.
Around the making, we've built the rest of the weekend to hold you. Grounding ceremony to arrive fully. A morning that moves your body before it asks anything of your heart. A catered lunch and a window of collaborator pop-up sessions if you want them. A closing circle where you get to say out loud what happened. And a small group, on purpose, so this stays an intimate held experience instead of a crowded event.
You'll make something you didn't expect. You'll laugh more than you planned to, because we have never once kept a straight face for a full weekend and we're not starting in October.
And you will not leave as the person who walked in.
Stop calling it a coincidence.
You've been having experiences you don't quite have words for.
The thought that showed up fully formed and didn't sound like it came from you. The song on the radio at the precise moment you needed it. The pull to call someone right before your phone lit up with their name. The knowing that landed in your chest a full beat before your brain caught up. And every single time, you've had an explanation ready -- coincidence, imagination, a fluke, a lot going on lately.
This is the weekend we stop doing that.
Let me tell you what this isn't. It isn't a performance, and it isn't a room where you sit quietly while somebody else does something impressive at the front. We don't do ordinary here. This is three days built with precision and intention, because when you step out of your routine, sit down in a space that has been prepared to hold exactly this, and stop pretending you haven't been experiencing what you've been experiencing -- something cracks open. It always does. I've watched it happen for twenty-five years and it still gets me every time.
I'm a fourth-generation Intuitive Medium, an ordained Spiritualist Minister, and a Usui Reiki Master Teacher, which are all lovely words that mostly mean I've spent my life as a bridge. Over this weekend we'll work with what mediumship actually is and isn't, how to tell the difference between intuition and anxiety, how to open a channel and -- just as importantly, and almost nobody teaches this part -- how to close one. We'll work with your energy, your protection, your discernment, and the particular way Spirit tends to reach for you specifically, because it's different for everyone and yours is worth learning.
Some of you will arrive skeptical and curious, and you are welcome exactly as you are. Nothing here requires you to believe anything in advance. Some of you already know, and have known for a long time, and mostly need a room where you don't have to soften it for anyone. You're welcome too, and you're going to exhale about an hour in.
And here's the part people never expect: it's fun. It's tender and it's sacred and it is also genuinely a good time, because Spirit has an outstanding sense of humor and I have never once managed to keep a straight face for a whole weekend. There will be goosebumps. There will be tears. There will absolutely be someone laughing so hard they have to leave the room, and that person might be me.
You will not leave here as the person who walked in.
Come back to the only address you'll ever actually live at.
Most of us live about six inches above our own bodies.
We think our way through the day. We manage from the neck up. The body becomes the thing that carries the head around and occasionally files a complaint we ignore -- the tight shoulders, the shallow breath, the knot that shows up in the exact same spot every time a certain name lights up your phone. It's been talking the entire time. We just got very good at turning the volume down.
This weekend turns it back up, gently.
Let me clear something out of the way first, because I know what "movement retreat" conjures. This is not a fitness weekend. Nobody is going to put their foot behind their head while you watch and quietly reconsider your life choices. There's no goal weight, no target flexibility, no one at the front modeling a shape you're meant to approximate. We don't do ordinary here, and the ordinary version of this would be a workout with candles.
What we're actually doing is older and simpler than that. Bodies have always been where humans put the things that were too big for words. Grief lives in the body. So does joy, so does old fear, so does the version of you who hasn't felt safe enough to fully exhale in a good long while. You can talk about all of it for years -- many of us have -- and still find it exactly where you left it, sitting in your hips or your jaw or the space between your shoulder blades. Movement gives it somewhere to go. Breath gives it permission. Rhythm gets past your thinking mind entirely, which is the point, because your thinking mind has been managing this situation for quite a while and has not solved it.
Over the weekend we work with yoga, breathwork, somatic practice, drumming, and sound. Some of it will be soft. Some of it will be loud, and there is a specific kind of release that only arrives when you're holding a drum and nobody has asked you to be dignified about it. There will be stillness too, the real kind, the kind where you finally feel your own weight on the floor and something in you says oh, there I am.
You do not need to be flexible. You do not need to have done any of this before. You do not need a body that looks or moves like anyone else's, and nobody here is watching what yours does -- everyone will be entirely occupied with their own. What you need is a body, which you already have, and a willingness to be inside it for a couple of days.
You will not leave here as the person who walked in. You'll leave more in her.
You don't have to earn this one.
Let's start with the part you're already feeling.
Somewhere in the last few sentences, a small flicker of guilt showed up at the idea of a whole weekend that asks nothing of you. Maybe you started doing math about who would cover things. Maybe a voice pointed out that you don't really need this, not like some people do, that you're fine, that things aren't that bad.
Notice that. That flicker is the entire reason this weekend exists.
Somewhere along the way, rest became a thing we earn. We schedule it around everyone else's needs, we take it only when our bodies force the issue, and when we finally do take it we justify it with productivity language -- I'm recharging so I can show up better, so I can give more, so I can get back to being useful. Even our rest has to have a return on investment. Even our stillness has to do something for somebody.
Not here.
Let me be plain about what this isn't. It isn't a retreat that says the word rest and then hands you a schedule packed from eight to six. It isn't a weekend of processing your life on a timeline, or working through anything, or arriving at any particular insight by Sunday. We don't do ordinary here, and the ordinary version of this would be filling every hour and calling it self-care. There's no curriculum. There's no arc you're required to move through. There is nothing you have to get out of this.
What there is: a space held with real care, food that nourishes you instead of just feeding you, Reiki and bodywork available if your body wants it, the halotherapy room, sound and stillness when you want them, soft places to land, and long unclaimed stretches of time that belong entirely to you. Sleep in. Take the nap. Sit by a window and say nothing to anyone for two hours. Drift into a sound bath, or don't, and never explain the choice to a single person.
Here's what tends to happen. Somewhere around Saturday afternoon, once your nervous system finally believes that nothing is going to be asked of it, something in your chest lets go. You might not even notice the moment. You'll just realize you've stopped bracing, and that you'd been bracing for considerably longer than you knew.
That's the whole point. That's the entire agenda.
And you will not leave here as the person who walked in -- you'll leave as the person who was underneath her the whole time.

There is a version of you who used to create just because it felt good. Before the deadlines. Before the audience. Before you talked yourself out of picking up the paintbrush, the pen, the clay, because there was always something more important to do. This retreat is an invitation back to that time.
Reflective Harmony is opening our doors for a 3-day retreat, that is held in our energetic ecosystem here in Albany; designed for creatives, artists, and anyone whose spirit has been quietly asking for permission to slow down and make something beautiful again. THE TUNE-IN SERIES: A Weekend of Wonder & Woo
You've been having experiences you don't quite have words for.
The thought that arrived fully formed and didn't sound like yours. The song on the radio at the exact moment you needed it. The pull to call someone right before they called you. The knowing that showed up in your chest before your brain caught up. And every single time, you've explained it away -- coincidence, imagination, a fluke, a lot going on lately.
This is the series where we stop doing that.
Tune-In is a weekend of Spirit connection, energy work, and learning to trust the signal you've been receiving your whole life. We work with what mediumship actually is and isn't, how to tell intuition from anxiety, how to open a channel and just as importantly how to close one, and what it feels like when a loved one in Spirit makes themselves known in a room. Some of you will come in curious. Some of you will come in already knowing and just wanting permission to say it out loud. Both are exactly right.
It's sacred and it's also fun, because Spirit has a tremendous sense of humor and we have never once been able to keep a straight face for a whole weekend.
Guide: Led by Kelly M. Ballard -- fourth-generation Intuitive Medium, ordained Spiritualist Minister, and Usui Reiki Master Teacher with over 25 years of walking beside people as they meet Spirit for the first time.

THE EMBODIED SERIES: In this Body, I Move!
Most of us live about six inches above our own bodies.
We think our way through the day, we manage from the neck up, and the body becomes the thing that carries the head around and occasionally files a complaint we ignore. Tight shoulders. Shallow breath. That knot that shows up in the same spot every time your phone rings with a certain name on it. The body has been talking the entire time. We just got very good at turning the volume down.
This series turns it back up, gently.
We work with yoga, breathwork, somatic practice, drumming, and sound -- not to get you flexible or fit, but to get you home. Grief lives in the body. So does joy, so does old fear, so does the version of you that hasn't felt safe enough to fully exhale in a while. Movement gives all of it somewhere to go. You don't need to be bendy. You don't need to have done this before. You need a body, which you already have, and a willingness to be in it for a weekend.

REST & RESTORE SERIES: A weekend of You
Let's start with the part you're already feeling: a small flicker of guilt at the idea of a whole weekend that asks nothing of you.
Notice that. That flicker is exactly why this series exists.
Somewhere along the way, rest became something we have to earn, schedule around everyone else, or justify with productivity language -- I'm recharging so I can give more. This weekend has no such requirement. You are not resting in order to become more useful. You're resting because you're a human being who has been running on fumes and good intentions and that is reason enough.
There's no curriculum here. There's a beautifully held space, deeply nourishing food, Reiki and bodywork available, the halotherapy room, soft places to land, and long stretches of unclaimed time. You can nap. You can sit by yourself and say nothing to anyone. You can wander into a sound bath or skip it entirely with zero explanation offered.
What tends to happen is this: somewhere around Saturday afternoon, when your nervous system finally believes nothing is going to be asked of it, something in your chest unclenches. That's the whole point. That's the entire agenda.

A Weekend of You -- dates coming.
Here's how it works, when you're ready to say yes, you'll place your deposit through the retreat listing above. That deposit is what holds your seat in the circle -- it comes off your total, and it lets us confirm you in the count so we can plan the space, the materials, and the meals around you specifically. Your remaining balance is due within 90 days of your deposit, or by the first day of the retreat, whichever arrives first. You'll be invoiced separately with the due date noted clearly. No surprises, no auto-drafts, no fine print games.
All payments are non-refundable, non-transferable, and final, and we want to be tender and clear about why. These retreats are small on purpose. When you take a seat, that seat is genuinely gone -- someone else can't have it, and we've already begun building the weekend around your presence. Committing with your deposit is part of the work. It's the moment you tell the Universe you're serious, and in our experience, the Universe tends to move once you do.
If something significant happens in your life, reach out to us by email or by phone. We'll always have a human conversation with you about it.
Reserving Your Seat
Why Reflective Harmony
Because there's a difference between renting a room and being held in one.
Reflective Harmony was built as an ecosystem, not a venue. Every collaborator who works within these walls was chosen -- holistic practitioners, sound healers, art therapists, yoga teachers, halotherapists, body-based care providers, all of them people who understand that whole-person wellness isn't a marketing phrase, it's the actual heartbeat of the thing. When you come to a retreat here, you're not walking into a rented conference space that smells like other people's meetings. You're walking into a home that has been intentionally curated to hold healing, growth, and honest connection.
That means the retreat you attend is woven from that same ecosystem. Your lead facilitator brings their depth. Other collaborators may step in with a modality moment, a guest segment, a sound bath, a moment of care you didn't know you were starving for. It's layered on purpose, because transformation rarely arrives through one door.
And it means you're never a headcount here. You're a person, walking your own path, being walked beside.
Questions You Might Be Holding… We’ve got Answers!
-
None whatsoever. Every retreat we host is built to meet you exactly where you are, whether you've been on this path for twenty years or you signed up on a hunch you couldn't explain. Nobody is graded. Nobody is compared. Show up as you are -- that's the only prerequisite.
-
Lodging is on you, and we'll always share nearby options in your confirmation so you're not hunting alone. Our retreats are hosted at Reflective Harmony in Albany, which means local friends can sleep in their own beds and out-of-town friends have plenty of good choices within a few minutes' drive.
-
It varies by retreat, and the specifics are always spelled out on that retreat's page. As a rule, we feed you well during the hours we have you and we tell you clearly which meals are yours to plan.
-
Please do. Most people do. Something beautiful happens in a room full of individuals who each arrived on their own and leave feeling like they found their people. You will not be the odd one out -- there is no odd one out.
-
Comfortable clothes you can move and create in, a water bottle, and an open heart. Anything retreat-specific will be listed on that retreat's page and sent in your confirmation.
-
All payments are non-refundable, non-transferable, and final, as noted above. If something significant comes up, reach out to us by email or phone and we'll talk it through like humans.
-
We do, and we're building more of them. If you're looking to bring a team, a group, or an organization into this kind of experience, use the form below and tell us what you're imagining.
